24:6. அவன் தன் மனுஷரைப் பார்த்து: கர்த்தர் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணின என் ஆண்டவன்மேல் என் கையைப் போடும்படியான இப்படிப்பட்ட காரியத்தை நான் செய்யாதபடிக்கு, கர்த்தர் என்னைக் காப்பாராக; அவர் கர்த்தரால் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணப்பட்டவர் என்று சொல்லி,

24:6. தாவீது தன் ஆட்களிடம், "மீண்டும் நான் என் எஜமானனுக்கு இதுபோல் செய்துவிடாமல் கர்த்தர்தான் தடுக்க வேண்டும், சவுல் கர்த்தரால் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட அரசன். அவருக்கு எதிராக நான் எதுவும் செய்யமாட்டேன்!" என்றான்.

24:6. He said to his men, "May the LORD keep me far away from doing such a thing to my lord, who is the LORD's chosen one, by extending my hand against him. After all, he is the LORD's chosen one."
